Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website operated by Anatolian Heritage Federation (“AHF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using this website, including any member-restricted areas, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

AHF is incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA) and operates in accordance with its Articles of Incorporation and By-laws.

Organizational Status

AHF is a federally incorporated not-for-profit corporation under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.

AHF is not a registered charity under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Accordingly:

• Donations, if accepted, are not eligible for charitable tax receipts unless otherwise specified;
• Website content shall not be interpreted as charitable solicitation within the meaning of CRA registered charity regulations.

Nothing on this website modifies, replaces, or supersedes AHF’s Articles, By-laws, or applicable legislation.

Purpose of the Website

The website serves the following purposes:

• To provide information regarding AHF’s mission, programs, governance, and member organizations;
• To facilitate communication among members and stakeholders;
• To provide secure access to member resources;
• To promote dialogue, cultural engagement, and collaborative initiatives.

The website does not create membership rights beyond those set out in AHF’s By-laws.

Public vs. Member Access Areas

Public areas of the website are accessible without registration and are provided for informational purposes only.

2. Member Login Areas

Certain portions of the website are restricted to authorized member organizations or designated representatives.

By accessing member-restricted areas, users agree:

• To maintain confidentiality of login credentials;
• Not to share internal documents without authorization;
• Not to use internal materials for purposes inconsistent with AHF’s governance framework.

Access to the member portal does not:

• Grant governance authority;
• Create voting rights;
• Modify rights established under the CNCA or AHF By-laws.

AHF reserves the right to suspend or revoke login access where misuse is identified, without affecting formal membership status unless separately determined under AHF’s By-laws.

Governance Authority

Under Section 102 of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, the Board of Directors manages or supervises the management of the activities and affairs of the corporation.

Nothing on this website:

• Delegates statutory authority to users;
• Creates binding decisions outside formal Board resolutions;
• Grants external approval or veto power over AHF governance matters.

All governance decisions are made in accordance with AHF’s Articles, By-laws, and CNCA requirements.

Permitted Use

Users agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in compliance with:

• Canadian federal and provincial law;
• The CNCA and applicable regulations;
• AHF’s internal policies.

Users may not:

Termination of Access

AHF may suspend or terminate website access where a user:

• Engages in conduct harmful to AHF.

Website access decisions are administrative in nature and do not constitute disciplinary action unless undertaken in accordance with AHF’s By-laws.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by:

Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of Ontario.
